Located in the province of Mandalay, the plant will produce up to 225 MW of power which will be purchased by Myanmar’s Electric Power Generation Enterprise (EPGE) under a 22-year power purchase agreement. In March of 2017, VTU Energy had been awarded the contract to supply a turn-key PASS settlement system including a fuel demand model by Sembcorp Myingyan Power Company Ltd. (SMPC), a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries of Singapore.
The system was commissioned, successfully tested and handed over to the project company in December of 2017, well ahead of the scheduled commercial operation dates. VTU Energy will continue to support Myingyan IPP under a Technical Support Agreement for technical user support and software maintenance.
